Outright Games has just announced NBA Bounce, a new family-friendly basketball game officially licensed by the NBA. In addition, the game is designed with younger fans in mind, and the game blends accessible arcade-style gameplay with colourful visuals, custom avatars, and even unlockable NBA mascots.

Additionally, NBA Bounce is set to launch on September 26, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. Here’s everything we know and what to expect from the gameplay, customization options, and how the game is built for families.

Fast-Paced Matches and Four Ways to Play

NBA Bounce features four distinct game modes designed to keep things simple, varied, and easy to jump into. Whether you want to play a quick match or run through an entire season, the game offers options for different play styles and time commitments. There are also 32 built-in challenges that reward you with trophies and unlockables as you complete them.

Gameplay focuses on both basic and more advanced basketball moves. You’ll need to master dribbling, shooting, and passing to lead your team to victory. The controls are designed to be approachable for newcomers. The goal is to offer a mix of quick fun and longer progression without overwhelming players.

Create Your Player or Hit the Court as a Mascot

Customization is a big part of NBA Bounce. You can create a male or female avatar and adjust head size, skin tone, facial features, clothing, and accessories. Whether you’re going for a realistic look or something completely cartoonish, the game gives you the tools to shape your own style.

You’ll also be able to unlock and play as official NBA team mascots. That includes fan favourites like Benny the Bull, Rocky from the Denver Nuggets, and mascots from teams like the Mavericks, Rockets, Heat, and Bucks. It adds a playful twist to matches and gives fans a new way to represent their favourite teams.

Built for Kids, Fun for Everyone

NBA Bounce was designed with younger basketball fans in mind, but its features aim to include the whole family. The game offers three difficulty levels, along with tutorials and intuitive controls. New players can learn at their own pace without feeling left out.

Up to four people can play together locally, making it a fit for family game nights or casual group sessions. There’s no need for everyone to be at the same skill level. Each person can jump in and contribute without pressure. It’s a setup that encourages shared play and makes room for both learning and fun.

NBA Bounce Brings Family Basketball Home This Fall

NBA Bounce launches September 26, 2025, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The game is developed by Barcelona-based indie studio Unfinished Pixel. They’re known for sports titles like Super Tennis Blast and Super Soccer Blast.

Overall, the mix of mascot characters, simple controls, and avatar options makes this look like the kind of game you could fire up for a quick round with friends or family without needing a big learning curve. It just looks easy to jump into and enjoy.

Will you be jumping in with friends, family, or a favourite mascot?
