The PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for August 2026 is already underway, with Helldivers 2 available worldwide as of August 12. Seven more Extra and Premium games begin arriving August 18. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Vampire Survivors, Hell is Us, and Two Point Museum are among the biggest additions.
Regional timing differs for five games. Hell is Us, Umamusume Pretty Derby – Party Dash, Two Point Museum, Metro Exodus, and Dying Light 2 arrive August 25 in the United States, United Kingdom, and Japan. PlayStation Plus Premium also adds Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams and Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire on August 18.

All eight games in the main August catalog are included with PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium.
Helldivers 2
Platform: PS5
Helldivers 2 is already available worldwide through the Game Catalog. Arrowhead Game Studios’ cooperative shooter sends squads of up to four Helldivers into battles against alien forces across the galaxy. Friendly fire is always active, so teamwork matters as much as the firepower you bring along.
Its August 12 Game Catalog arrival also coincides with a major new update. If you have been curious about Helldivers 2 but never bought it, this is an easy reason to finally see what all the chaos is about.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II continues the story of Henry of Skalitz in 15th-century Bohemia. A civil war has pulled him into a conflict far beyond the life he knew as a blacksmith’s son.
The open-world action RPG focuses on Henry’s journey through medieval Bohemia as political conflict and personal revenge collide. It is a very different option from the cooperative action of Helldivers 2.
Hell is Us
Platform: PS5
Hell is Us follows Rémi, a United Nations peacekeeper who returns to the isolated country of Hadea while searching for his missing parents. The third-person action-adventure combines semi-open exploration with melee combat and mysterious creatures tied to a wider calamity.
I reviewed Hell is Us for Cloud Dosage last year, and its refusal to constantly guide me was what stayed with me. Exploring, paying attention, and working things out for myself made Hadea feel more rewarding to uncover.
Two Point Museum
Platform: PS5
Two Point Museum hands you a struggling museum and lets you turn it into something visitors actually want to see. Staff can be sent on expeditions to recover new artifacts, which then become the centre of new exhibits back at the museum.
When I reviewed it, the museum setting felt like more than a reskin of the earlier Two Point games. Building around the discoveries my staff brought home gave the familiar management formula a different rhythm.
Vampire Survivors
Platform: PS5, PS4
Vampire Survivors goes in the opposite direction from August’s larger adventures. The gothic survival game starts simply, but defeated enemies quickly fill the screen as new weapons and upgrades turn your character into the source of the bullet hell.
Each run becomes a steady cycle of surviving larger groups, choosing upgrades, and finding combinations that can keep the monsters under control. Its rogue-lite progression makes experimentation a big part of getting further.
Dying Light 2
Platform: PS5, PS4
Dying Light 2 takes place in a post-apocalyptic city where infected creatures and competing human factions make survival dangerous. You play as Aiden Caldwell, a wanderer searching for answers while becoming involved in the future of the city.
Combat and movement are closely connected as Aiden crosses rooftops and works through hostile areas. Choices also affect alliances and how parts of the story unfold.
Metro Exodus
Platform: PS5, PS4
Metro Exodus leaves the tunnels behind for a journey across post-apocalyptic Russia. 4A Games mixes first-person combat with stealth, exploration, and survival horror as the story moves through changing seasons.
The journey spans a full year and moves through large, non-linear environments. Each area combines exploration with the series’ bleak atmosphere and constant threat of danger.
Umamusume Pretty Derby – Party Dash
Platform: PS4
Umamusume Pretty Derby – Party Dash turns its cast into pixel-art competitors at the Slapdash Grand Prix. Four teams compete across Hurtling Hurdles, Blazing Baskets, Dodgeball Demolition, and Gourmet Gauntlet.
Each team has five Umamusume, with different characters selected for each event. It is easily August’s most unusual addition and a much lighter option than the action games surrounding it.
PlayStation Plus Premium Adds Two Classic PlayStation Games
PlayStation Plus Premium adds two older PlayStation games on August 18. Both are playable on PS5 and PS4.
Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams
Platform: PS5, PS4
Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams returns from the PS2 era. The story follows Soki, a young warrior with dark power who fights the Genma after Toyotomi Hideyoshi takes control of Japan.
The game takes place after the death of Oda Nobunaga and continues the series’ demon-fighting action in feudal Japan. Premium members can now revisit this chapter of the Onimusha series on PS5 and PS4.
Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire
Platform: PS5, PS4
Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire originally appeared on the first PlayStation. It follows Milo Thatch and his expedition as they travel beneath the ocean in search of Atlantis.
This version adds up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters. Those additions should make the older game easier to revisit without changing the basic PlayStation-era experience.
Helldivers 2 And Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Are The Games I’d Play First
I’d start with Helldivers 2 in August, especially now that it’s part of the Game Catalog worldwide. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is the other game I would make time for, although I would need to set aside considerably more time for it.
Hell is Us is also worth a look if you enjoy figuring things out without constant direction. Two Point Museum is the one I would recommend when you want something more relaxed and management-focused.
