Nioh 3 Announced With Dual Combat Styles and a Limited-time Demo

Team Ninja officially revealed Nioh 3 during the June 2025 State of Play, confirming its return to PS5. This latest entry in the action RPG series features a darker fantasy setting and introduces two distinct combat styles: Samurai and Ninja.

Samurai combat offers a familiar experience for fans of previous entries. The Ninja style is faster and more agile, focusing on dodging, quick aerial strikes, and mobility-based tactics. You can switch between styles instantly mid-battle to adapt to different threats.

The trailer also hinted at story elements involving a cursed bloodline and an ancient war returning to life. A limited-time demo is available now on PlayStation Store, giving you a hands-on preview of the gameplay and new systems.

Silent Hill f Launches September 25 With a Chilling New Trailer

Silent Hill f finally has a release date. The standalone spinoff launches September 25 on PS5, and the new trailer revealed during State of Play offered a haunting look at its setting and tone.

The game follows Shimizu Hinako, a high school student trapped in a small town as it’s slowly consumed by a mysterious fog. The trailer showed her fleeing from warped creatures, confronting disturbing visions, and navigating a world filled with danger and decay.

Konami confirmed this entry is separate from the mainline series and works as a new starting point. Its focus on psychological horror and twisted environments aims to introduce new fans while staying true to the series’ roots.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Shows Boss Fights and Bonus Mode

Konami shared a closer look at Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater during the showcase. The new trailer focused on Snake’s encounters with the Cobra Unit, highlighting several cinematic boss fights built using Unreal Engine 5.

The footage also confirmed the return of Snake vs. Monkey, the fan-favourite bonus mode that originally appeared in Metal Gear Solid 3 on PS2. It will be included in the remake when it launches August 28 on PS5.

The trailer showed improved lighting and sharper character models compared to the original PS2 release. Konami is aiming for a faithful remake, preserving the original game’s mechanics while improving presentation and performance.

007: First Light Reveals a New Origin Story for Bond

IO Interactive gave us a closer look at 007: First Light, their upcoming third-person action-adventure game that reimagines the origins of James Bond. Set before Bond earns his 00 status, the game follows a young, unproven MI6 recruit as he’s thrown into high-stakes missions that shape him into the world’s most iconic spy.

The new trailer focused on stealth-driven gameplay, slick hand-to-hand combat, and cinematic shootouts. It also teased international locations, hinting at a globe-trotting narrative full of danger and intrigue. The visual design sticks close to the modern Bond films, with moody lighting and stylish environments framing each encounter.

IO’s take on Bond isn’t tied to any specific actor or film canon, giving them room to craft an original story while keeping the spirit of the franchise intact.

MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls Unites PlayStation Studios and Arc System Works

Arc System Works is teaming up with Marvel Games and PlayStation Studios for a new 2v2 fighting game called MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls. The reveal trailer showed off reimagined versions of Marvel characters battling across colourful backgrounds with a stylized look.

The gameplay emphasizes intuitive controls for newcomers, with deeper gameplay for high-level play. Tag mechanics let you swap fighters mid-combo, and each character appears to bring unique moves and visual flair.

While the full roster hasn’t been revealed, the art direction and fast-paced action are in line with Arc’s past hits like Guilty Gear. It’s a major addition to the lineup of upcoming PS5 games and one of the biggest surprises from the show.

Pragmata Resurfaces With New Trailer and 2026 Release Window

Capcom shared a new look at Pragmata, its long-awaited sci-fi action game. The trailer gave a brief glimpse of gameplay, showing main characters Hugh and Diana working together to solve puzzles and avoid danger.

You’ll guide Hugh and Diana together to overcome obstacles using a mix of action and strategy. Hugh moves through the environment while Diana can manipulate objects and support him using special abilities. The trailer hinted at emotional moments and a deep connection between the two.

Capcom also confirmed a 2026 release window. It’s still early, but this update gave a clearer idea of the game’s tone and dual-character approach. It remains one of Capcom’s most mysterious upcoming PS5 games.

Project Defiant Is Sony’s First Wireless Fight Stick for PS5 and PC

Sony revealed Project Defiant, a new wireless fight stick designed for PS5 and PC. It uses PlayStation Link technology to offer ultra-low latency when playing wirelessly, with the option to plug in via USB-C.

The digital stick includes interchangeable square, circle, and octagon restrictor gates, plus mechanical buttons and a DualSense-style touch pad. The top of the controller also features buttons for Share, Options, R3, and more.

It also comes with a carrying case and onboard storage for extra parts. Project Defiant is set to launch in 2026, with more info coming later this year.

PlayStation Plus Adds More Classics, Including Resident Evil 2 and 3
