PrintedWaste Queue Tracking Is Now Built Directly Into OpenNOW

The open-source GeForce NOW client OpenNOW just added one of the most requested community tools to its interface. PrintedWaste, the app built to track real-time queue lengths and server statuses, officially integrated its API directly into the OpenNOW desktop client. It shows live server wait times so you can select the fastest region without needing a second screen or a browser window.

Merging Two Essential Community Tools

Using both of these tools used to mean checking PrintedWaste on your phone to verify the status, then manually switching regions in OpenNOW. The newest GitHub update bridges that gap entirely. Kiefer Lin’s queue tracking API now feeds directly into a new server selection menu inside the OpenNOW client.

OpenNOW is already a powerful alternative to the official NVIDIA app. It strips away the corporate telemetry and removes the aggressive eight-minute AFK kick timer. It also lets you push the streaming bitrate up to 200 Mbps for 4K streaming if your internet can handle it. Bringing the queue tracker into that environment makes it even more useful for anyone who wants total control over how they connect.

PrintedWaste made a name for itself by giving mobile users real-time queue lengths, game patching statuses, and server details. Pulling that data directly into a desktop client just makes sense. The integration brings the benefits of the mobile app directly to your monitor.

Checking the Numbers Before You Launch

If a specific region is hit with a massive wait, the numbers show up immediately. The menu displays the exact queue length across all available NVIDIA data centres, letting you pick a less crowded server before you click play.

The official app doesn’t show exact queue numbers until you actually wait in line. This integration fixes that problem. When I used the free tier regularly, figuring out the actual wait time across different regions was always the hardest part. Trying to guess which data centre had the shortest line was always a massive gamble. Knowing the exact queue length across multiple regions changes how you plan your gaming time.

OpenNOW and PrintedWaste Remove the Guesswork From Cloud Gaming

The update is currently moving through the project’s GitHub branches. Whether you’re running the Windows, macOS, Linux, or ARM64 version on a Raspberry Pi, the queue tracker will be right there in the client.

This proves the true value of community-built software. When the community identifies a gap in the official app, they build a way to fill it. Combining OpenNOW’s technical freedom with PrintedWaste’s data tracking gives you a much clearer picture of what you’re walking into before you launch a game.
