Rebellion has released a new gameplay trailer for Sniper Elite: Resistance, showcasing exciting new features and game modes. The trailer highlights the game’s new protagonist, Harry Hawker, and introduces the all-new Propaganda Mode, along with key gameplay mechanics.
Set alongside the events of Sniper Elite 5, the game promises to offer a blend of sniping, stealth, and tactical combat, while providing players with a new perspective on the series’ story.
A New Protagonist and Thrilling Storyline
Taking place during the timeline of Sniper Elite 5, Sniper Elite: Resistance introduces Harry Hawker as the new lead protagonist. Harry, an expert marksman and agent of the Special Operations Executive, goes undercover in occupied France.
His mission is to join forces with the Resistance and uncover a deadly Wunderwaffe—a secret weapon that could tip the balance of power in the war. As Harry carries out his undercover mission, Harry faces the challenges of espionage and dangerous enemies while uncovering a plot that could change the course of history.
Campaign and Multiplayer Modes
The game features a full-length campaign, playable in single-player or online co-op. You can tackle the story alone or join forces with friends for a more dynamic experience. Invasion Mode, a fan-favourite from Sniper Elite 5, returns with a unique twist.
This mode allows you to drop into your friend’s games as an enemy sniper. This mode adds high-stakes moments as you try to outsmart and eliminate each other. The game also includes various adversarial multiplayer options, offering competitive gameplay for those who want to challenge others in sniper duels or complete objectives in fast-paced matches.
New Modes and Tactical Combat
Sniper Elite: Resistance introduces Propaganda Mode, which challenges you to complete quick-fire tasks within a time limit. Unlocked by discovering hidden Propaganda posters scattered throughout the campaign, this mode challenges you with time-limited tasks.
The game retains the series’ signature tactical sniping mechanics, stealth, and combat. You can customize weapons by finding workbenches hidden across the campaign, unlocking various upgrades. Sniper Elite: Resistance also offers significant player agency, allowing you to choose how missions are completed. Optional Kill List targets, multiple infiltration and extraction points, and side missions provide a range of choices throughout the campaign.
Key features of the game include:
- Full-length standalone campaign available in single-player and co-op.
- An authentic arsenal of World War II weaponry, including fan favorites and new additions.
- Weapon customization and upgrades to suit your playstyle.
- The iconic X-ray kill cam to highlight the destructive power of each shot.
- Invasion Mode for high-stakes, cat-and-mouse multiplayer.
- Engage in adversarial multiplayer once you’ve set your scope.
