Ludium Lab is continuing its push into smart TV cloud gaming, this time with a native Sora Stream app in development for LG Smart TVs running webOS. The announcement follows the company’s recent confirmation that Sora Stream is coming to Samsung Smart TVs, reinforcing a broader move toward making cloud gaming feel native on living room screens.

LG’s webOS platform is a major addition. Ludium Lab says webOS currently runs on more than 200 million active devices worldwide, opening the door for Sora Stream to reach a much larger audience without requiring extra hardware. Like the Samsung rollout, the goal here is simple access. Turn on the TV, launch the app, and start playing.

What Sora Stream Is Bringing to LG Smart TVs

Ludium Lab says the native webOS app will bring the full Sora Stream experience to LG Smart TVs, with no session limits across any subscription tier. The company is also emphasizing low latency and minimal input lag across its catalogue, which remains a key requirement for cloud gaming on televisions.

The app will support multiple user profiles, making it easier for households to share a single TV while keeping accounts and preferences separate. Standard gamepad support is confirmed as well, keeping the experience consistent with how cloud gaming already works on living room screens.

On the content side, Sora Stream will offer access to more than 500 games, with Battle.net, Steam, and Epic Games integration included in all plans. That puts the service in line with other multi-store cloud platforms, offering a mix of longer sessions and quick-play options without downloads or local installs.

Everything runs directly through the cloud, removing the need for consoles or dedicated hardware. Combined with the earlier Samsung Smart TV announcement, the move to LG webOS reinforces how smart TVs are becoming one of the most important front doors for cloud gaming.

Smart TVs Are Becoming a Key Cloud Gaming Platform

With Sora Stream now confirmed for both Samsung Smart TVs and LG Smart TVs, Ludium Lab is clearly targeting smart TVs as a primary entry point for cloud gaming. These platforms already sit at the centre of many living rooms, making them a natural fit for services that want to reduce friction.

The upcoming webOS app builds on the same idea seen with the Tizen announcement. Cloud gaming should feel like a built-in TV feature, not an extra step. As more services move in this direction, smart TVs are increasingly becoming standalone cloud gaming hubs.

Ludium Lab has not shared a release date yet, but with development confirmed, LG Smart TV owners can expect Sora Stream to join the growing list of cloud gaming apps available directly on their TVs.
