Spiritfarer sails onto Game Pass Ultimate

In all of the hype around Starfield, and to an extent Sea of Stars, there was a surprise game drop on Game Pass Ultimate, and it is playable in the cloud with touch controls; Spiritfarer Farewell Edition. However, this isn’t a new game. In fact it was a game released onto Stadia Pro when that was alive and kicking. It is also one of the games our very own Jack Deslippe wanted to return to the cloud.

And for good reason. It is a relaxing experience. The story is one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing and one that shouldn’t be sat on. The characters and environment are all expertly crafted. This version also includes three major content updates as well as the base game.

Spiritfarer boat building

Spiritfarer is a cozy management game about dying. You play Stella, ferrymaster to the deceased, a “Spiritfarer”. You will build a boat to explore the colorful and beautifully illustrated world. Then befriend and care for spirits before finally releasing them into the afterlife. Farm, mine, fish, harvest, cook, and craft your way across mystical seas. Join the adventure as Daffodil the cat, in two-player cooperative play. Spend relaxing quality time with your spirit passengers. Create lasting memories, and, ultimately, learn how to say goodbye to your cherished friends.

Have you played the base game before? Will you be playing it again and experiencing the three updates? Let us know in the comments.
