Spiritfarer Returns to the Cloud via Utomik – New Games Announced

New Utomik Games

There are two things that Stadians know: saying goodbye to something you love is hard, and Spiritfarer is an incredible indie game. The original game, Spiritfarer, released August 18, 2020. Its charming presentation, engaging gameplay and touching story, quickly make it become really popular across all platforms. Even Google’s cloud gaming platform, Stadia. The game was very well received by the Stadia community, and even the developers, Thunder Lotus Games, kept updating that version of the game.

On December 8, 2021, Thunder Lotus Games released Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition, a new version of the game with many new content and quality of life changes. This version of the game also made its way to Google Stadia, proving the developers care for the platform and the cloud. Even so, Spiritfarer was added to Stadia Pro in September 2022, being one of the last games added. Funnily enough, here at Cloud Dosage we were working on a review, but sadly had to cancel it. Perhaps we’ll be able to publish it now, since the game is available once again via the cloud!

After all this backstory, I think it is time to take a look at the game itself. Additionally, all the other games that have made it to Utomik Cloud recently, alongside Spiritfarer.

Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition

Spiritfarer is a cozy management game about dying. Build a boat to explore the world, then befriend and care for spirits before finally releasing them into the afterlife. Farm, mine, fish, harvest, cook, and craft your way across mystical seas. Join the adventure in two-player cooperative play. Spend relaxing quality time with your spirit passengers, create lasting memories, and, ultimately, learn how to say goodbye to your cherished friends.

The Farewell Edition is the definitive edition of the award-winning cozy management game. It brings together the base game beloved by over 1 million players, and all the additional content released to date. See why critics called Spiritfarer one of the Best Games of 2020, and enjoy it via the cloud.

Tiny Force Deluxe

Developed by Sinergia Studios, Tiny Force Deluxe is a physics-based battle game in the best mix between slingshot with pinball and RPG elements. Just pull, aim, release, and the mess is made!

Set up and evolve your team of characters, each with its own type of attack and special powers. Your Tiny Force team can have monsters, robots, ninjas, dragons, vikings, zombies, etc. Evolve them with the magic jewels you encounter through the game and fight in the most diverse arenas.

The Flower Collectors

Inspired by classic crime noir films and games like Campo Santo’s Firewatch, The Flower Collectors is a detective story with a lot of heart, developed by Mi’pu’mi Games.

A detective mystery set in the political powder-keg of Barcelona in 1977. You play Jorge, a retired policeman who uses a wheelchair, struggling with a difficult past. Alone on your balcony, you watch the world pass by through binoculars.

One stormy night, you witness a murder. Determined to uncover the truth, you form an unlikely alliance with young ambitious journalist Melinda and start your investigation. Together, you’ll solve a complex mystery by unraveling the secrets of unsuspecting neighbors.

Kraken Academy!!

Coming March 16

Developed by Happy Broccoli Games and published by Fellow Traveller, Kraken Academy!! pushes you to make friends, free spirits and make sure that the world doesn’t end.

Kraken Academy is no ordinary high school. Ghosts fill the art department, cultists meet below the monkey bars and now crocodiles are eating children. Join forces with a magical Kraken to save the school (and the world) from the dastardly deeds of the Traitor, a malevolent mastermind who could be anyone on the campus grounds!

While saving the world is definitely an important goal there’s a whole range of other activities to dive into. With the help of a magical amulet bestowed upon you by the Kraken, you can play with time to learn teachers’ and students’ routines, and explore every corner of the campus. Attend a costume party, become a detective, and help the school’s janitor bring down a crime syndicate.

Alongside all these new games making its way to Utomik Cloud, the company also shared a sneak peek video confirming two other games making its way to the platform soon. Both Elypse and Born of Bread will be available on Utomik and its cloud capabilities soon.
