Logitech G Cloud owners were treated to a surprise as a new, unannounced firmware update began rolling out to the cloud gaming handheld. The update, version SQ02K.50.0230/002, introduces a key quality-of-life feature that grants users more control over their home screen experience.
The major change in this new software version is the long-awaited option to rearrange the menu tabs in the device’s dedicated Handheld mode. Users can now customize the order of the “All Games” and “Recommended” sections. This change allows for a more personalized and efficient navigation.
A long awaited feature
While this may seem like a minor tweak, it addresses a persistent, long-standing request from the community. Many users have asked for a way to disable or at least minimize the presence of the “Recommended” tab, which often contained promotions or content they did not wish to see. The ability to push certain services to the end of the menu, or even make their preferred Apps list the primary tab, gives players better control over their interface. This customization option helps speed up the handheld’s UI for those who want a cleaner experience focused solely on their installed or personally selected cloud and remote play apps.
Additionally to this big change, some apps have new banners, making it easier to spot them on the menus and providing a more premium look. For example, Moonlight and Steam Link.
