Netflix Games has just under eighty titles available on the Netflix mobile app. However, if you want to use a Razer Kishi or a traditional Bluetooth controller (Xbox, PlayStation, etc) there are only ten games that will allow you to do so. Let’s go over all ten and what each game is.
Game One: Spiritfarer
This beautiful indie game is one of the ten games you can play using a controller (I tested this game in a YT video “Netflix Gamer” using a Razer Kishi). In “Spiriitfarer,” you play as Stella who must help spirits reach the next stage of their journey. This game has a beautiful art style, and it is one of the most enjoyable indie games available via your Netflix subscription.
Game Two: Oxenfree 2 Lost Signals
The first of two Netflix-owned games on this list is “Oxenfree 2 Lost Signals”. This game is a followup to the original “Oxenfree” but takes place five years after the first game. “Oxenfree 2 Lost Signals” is developed by Night School Studio who developed the original game (which is also on Netflix but doesn’t offer controller support). If you want to dive into an eerie story-driven game via Netflix, then you’ll be happy to know “Oxenfree 2 Lost Signals” is compatible with controllers.
Game Three: Townsmen: A Kingdom Rebuilt
Imagine an indie version of “Sims City” where you build your own medieval town; that’s essentially what this game is. “Townsmen: A Kingdom Rebuilt” is a fun little game and is definitely worth playing if you want a city-building game to spend hours playing, especially when you realize this game supports controllers. I think this is one of the weirder games to include controller support – as these games, in my opinion, work better with a touch screen – still that’s not a knock against it.
Game Four: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge
This is the beat ’em up which revived interest in games based on the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” franchise. This game has an amazing soundtrack and is the full “TMNT” experience. The fact you can use controllers like the Razer Kishi makes this game ten times better, especially as this game has a very arcade-like build. If you love classic beat ’em ups like “Double Dragon,” then you should definitely check out this game on Netflix Games. (This is another game I made a video on Netflix Gamer about).
Game Five: Stranger Things 3: The Game
This is the second game based on a property Netflix owns. This one is based on the extremely popular “Stranger Things” television series. In “Stranger Things 3: The Game,” you play through the third season of the hit Netflix show, which along with the game was released in 2019. This game is an interesting one to include controller support as it was a launch title for Netflix Games back in 2021, but also because it is based on one of Netflix’s most profitable IPs.
Game Six: Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon
An installment in the popular indie game franchise “Shovel Knight”, “Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon” is a fun puzzle game, and lucky for us this game features controller support. This game is an indie darling and it is one of the best indie games on Netflix Games. Hopefully, we’ll see Netflix work with the developer team of “Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon” for some future game releases.
Game Seven: Hello Kitty and Friends Happiness Parade
“Hello Kitty” is a widely popular media franchise. So, the inclusion of a “Hello Kitty” game on Netflix Games with controller support is great. “Hello Kitty and Friends Happiness Parade” is a game where you have to match the beat of the song that plays as you march in your happiness parade.
Game Eight: Highwater
This game is a survival game, based in a world where a flood has consumed a majority of the land on Earth with the ultra-rich having moved to Mars. This is a perfect game to have controller support as survival games are a genre that requires dedicated buttons for different game mechanics.
Game Nine: Shatter Remastered
Now this game is a bit of a weird one as it has many similarities to the classic arcade game “Breakout”. However, “Shatter Remastered” is a fun game and the ability to play this game with a controller, to me, makes the experience a lot more enjoyable.
Game Ten: Hextech Mayhem A League Of Legends Story
This game having controller support is a bit of a surprise to me as the “League Of Legends” franchise has historically been focused on the PC market. However, this platforming game set in the “League Of Legends” universe is a pretty cool inclusion – especially as this is one of the only ten games on Netflix Games which are allowing users to use controllers with them.
Have you played any of these games on Netflix? let us know.
