Ubisoft Confirms That Far Cry 6 Will No Longer Receive Updates

Far Cry 6

Ubisoft has taken to the official Far Cry X account to announce that Far Cry 6 will no longer receive any updates from its development team.

They also thanked the millions of players who have played the game thus far since its October 2021 release date. They have also assured fans that even though the game will not receive any more updates, players will still be able to continue their adventures in Yara, with no service interruptions.

What Next For The Franchise

Insider Gaming reported earlier this year that development was underway at Ubiosft of both Far Cry 7 and another Far Cry title that is multiplayer only.

It is said that both these titles would likely not ship until late 2025.

Far Cry 6 is playable in the cloud via Boosteroid, GeForce NOW, PlayStation Cloud Gaming and Amazon Luna.
