Valiant Hearts: The Great War Officially Arriving July 15th

Valiant Hearts

More good news from Stadia and Ubisoft today – Valiant Hearts: The Great War is officially coming to Stadia on July 15th! We posted about Valiant Hearts a couple weeks back when it was rated for Stadia by PEGI. In today’s official “Next Up on Stadia” blog post however, the Stadia team made it official.

The game will be priced at $14.99 or free with Ubisoft+ when it lands on Stadia.

The official blog post provides quite a bit of description for the game:

Valiant Hearts: The Great War is the story of 4 crossed destinies and a broken love in a world torn apart. Dive into a 2D animated comic book adventure, mixing exploration, action, and puzzles. Lost in the middle of the trenches, play as each of the 4 strangers, relive the War and help a young German soldier find his love.

In Valiant Hearts, the lives of all these characters are inextricably drawn together over the course of the game. Friendship, love, sacrifice and tragedy befall each one as they help each other to retain their humanity against the horrors of war.

The game was inspired by letters from the First World War and a number of other historical materials, and while the narrative is fictitious, the story is based on real historical events and sites, such as famous battles like the Battle of the Marne or the Battle of the Somme on the Western Front.

It’s nice to move another game out of the rumor/likely-coming column and into the definitely coming column on our list of upcoming games. Let us know what you think about Valiant Hearts arriving on Stadia in the comments below.
