Fatshark just announced Nightmares & Visions, a free update coming to Warhammer 40,000: Darktide on March 25. This update introduces a new game activity, expanded endgame content, a time-limited event, and balance changes, adding fresh challenges for both new and veteran operatives.
Here’s what to expect when the update drops.
Survive the Mortis Trials and Uncover Hidden Secrets
One of the biggest additions in Nightmares & Visions is Mortis Trials, a new in-game activity where you’ll face waves of enemies in visions induced by the ship’s Psyker. Each trial lets you build new playstyles with randomized abilities and buffs, making every run unique. Overcoming these trials won’t just test your skill—it will also unlock hidden lore about key characters aboard the Mourningstar.
Endgame Updates, Special Event, and Gameplay Improvements
The Nightmares & Visions update brings major changes to Darktide’s endgame experience. Havoc Mode is receiving a refresh with four new mutators, introducing fresh challenges that will push even the most seasoned operatives to their limits.
Following the update’s release, a limited-time event will highlight Mortis Trials, giving you a new way to experience the latest content. Meanwhile, the Ogryn class Talent Tree is getting a revamp, expanding build possibilities. Fatshark is also rolling out balance changes and general gameplay improvements, refining mechanics across the board.
