Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Launches Today

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has launched today on PlayStation 4 and 5, Steam, Xbox One and Series S and X, and of course the cloud via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

A new dark fantasy Three Kingdoms action RPG from Team NINJA, the developers of Nioh.

From the depths of darkness, a dragon soars. 184 AD, Later Han Dynasty China. The land is overcome by chaos and destruction. The imperial dynasty that prospered for many years is now about to collapse.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a dramatic, action-packed story of a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty where demons plague the Three Kingdoms. Players fight off deadly creatures and enemy soldiers using swordplay based on the Chinese martial arts, attempting to overcome the odds by awakening the true power from within.

Custom Touch Controls

Wo Long follows the recent trend of games having touch controls when they arrive on Game Pass Ultimate. I maintain this is a fantastic addition for gamers as they can continue playing where-ever they are regardless of what devices they have.

But Wo Long has gone further than most. It appears that the touch controls adapt depending on what screen you are on. As you can see below the battle screen has various options for multi-button controls making playing on your screen that much easier.

The obvious downside it that the screen looks very busy. On a smaller screen, it could become difficult to see what is going on. But I’m always happy to see cloud gaming advancements.
