Xbox App Arrives on Hisense and VIDAA OS Smart TVs for Cloud Gaming Expansion

Xbox Cloud continues to grow as the Xbox app rolls out to Hisense and VIDAA OS Smart TVs, bringing console-free gaming to millions more screens.

Xbox is continuing its push to bring console-free gaming to every living room. The official Xbox app on Hisense TV models and other VIDAA OS-powered Smart TVs has officially begun rolling out, giving users immediate access to Cloud Gaming directly from their television’s home screen without requiring dedicated gaming hardware.

The update targets 2024-2026 Smart TV models running VIDAA OS 9.6 or higher. Once updated, users can simply launch the Xbox app from the home page or “Games” menu section, sign into their Xbox account, connect a compatible Bluetooth controller, and start streaming games instantly.

“This summer we’ve expanded Xbox streaming to more than 150 million TVs and devices around the world because not everyone can afford dedicated gaming hardware,” said Xbox CEO Asha Sharma. “Today we’re adding millions more through VIDAA OS and Hisense, so more people can play on the hardware they already own.”

With an active Xbox Game Pass subscription (including Ultimate, Premium, or Essential tiers), players gain access to stream a vast library of titles. Xbox’s Cloud features allow players to stream supported games they already own outside of the standard Game Pass catalog. Cloud saves ensure that player progress transfers seamlessly across TVs, PCs, handhelds, and mobile devices.

The Xbox app supports a wide range of wireless controllers, including the official Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, PlayStation DualSense, and DualShock 4.

Xbox notes that the rollout across VIDAA OS devices will happen gradually over the coming weeks as firmware updates reach additional regions and supported hardware models.
