4 New First Party Titles Coming to Xbox Game Pass This Year

Xbox held their first game event of the year today: Developer_Direct 2024. In the video which was broadcast live this morning, developers from four Xbox studios presented their upcoming projects: 4 games that will release on Xbox in 2024 – straight to Game Pass (and Xbox Cloud Gaming).

While Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming had a great 2023, 2024 is looking even better. From the videos below, you can tell the developers putting these games together are passionate, talented and masters of their craft. Let’s jump into the games:

Sensua’s Saga: Hellblade II

Sensua’s Saga: Hellblade II is a project being created by the passionate developers at Ninja Theory – who work with University of Cambridge professors to accurately portray Psychosis through the story of Senua, an 8th century Pict (from Northern Scotland) warrior who believes she hears spirits. The story follows her story and struggles both external and internal.

Avowed

Fall 2024

Avowed is an upcoming fantasy RPG from the team at Obsidian Entertainment. The game is set in an incredible world that is diverse, colorful and inspiring. It’s an RPG from some of the best creators in the genre with near limitless choices, exploration and character development. It’s also got some of the coolest cover art we’ve ever seen.

Ara: History Untold

Fall 2024

Ara: History Untold is developed by Oxide – including a group of developers who previously worked on Civilization 5. It’s a strategy game that includes a true “living earth” where the development of your nation and the choices you make create a unique impact on the world. It looks like the future of 4X games.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

2024

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an action-adventure game that is the vision of Bethesda’s Todd Howard and developed by MachineGames. It’s a massive cinematic experience with stunning true to life graphics and a hybrid first person / third person game play style. Indiana Jones literally means “adventure.”
