Xbox Game Pass Comes to US Wireless Plans for the First Time With T-Mobile

Eligible T-Mobile customers in the US can choose Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Premium as part of the carrier's new T-Mix plans from November.

T-Mobile has announced T-Mix, a new kind of wireless plan that lets customers in the US choose the benefits included in their plan, and Xbox Game Pass is one of them. Beginning in November, eligible T-Mix customers will be able to choose Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass Premium, the first time Xbox Game Pass will be available through a wireless plan in the US.

The subscription opens an instant library of games playable on the devices customers already own, including Xbox consoles, Smart TVs, PCs and more. Xbox points readers to T-Mobile’s announcement for eligibility details and how to choose Game Pass as part of T-Mix, and to its own plan pages for what each tier includes.

Both plans include Xbox Cloud, so T-Mix customers will also be able to stream games on phones, tablets and supported TVs. Separately, Xbox’s November changes cap the cloud gaming included with standalone subscriptions: Game Pass Ultimate will include 15 hours of cloud gaming a month and Premium 10, with more playtime sold separately through the Xbox Store, while some existing subscribers will keep unlimited cloud gaming.

Carrier bundles are new for Game Pass in the US, but not everywhere. In the UK, EE has offered Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with mobile plans for years. For Xbox, the T-Mobile deal is another way to let more players jump in and play. It puts Game Pass in front of the carrier’s subscriber base just as its cloud gaming overhaul takes effect.
