Playtonic has dropped a new trailer for Yooka-Replaylee (Yooka Laylee’s remaster), giving fans a first look at the upcoming game. This time, it’s all about Rextro, the pixel-loving arcade dinosaur. He’s bringing new platforming challenges, fresh arcade machines, and even a playable version of himself.
Following January’s Shovel Knight announcement, this update expands the game with eight redesigned arcade machines. Each one is packed with platforming puzzles, enemies, and collectible rewards.
Rextro Bytes Back with New Arcade Challenges
Rextro’s arcade isn’t just getting a facelift—it’s been completely reworked. For the first time, you can play as Rextro himself, jumping into eight unique arcade machines. Each level features platforming obstacles, tricky hazards, and Megabyte enemies.
Every machine presents its own set of challenges. Clearing them earns medals, which can be exchanged for Pagies to unlock additional content in Yooka-Replaylee. Whether you’re dodging enemies, solving puzzles, or collecting rewards, these levels offer a new way to experience the game.
The Road Ahead for Fans and Yooka-Replaylee
Yooka-Replaylee is shaping up to be an exciting addition to the series, with Rextro’s revamped arcade and a host of new features. As Playtonic celebrates its 10th anniversary, there’s a good chance more updates and surprises are on the way. While the full details of the game are still under wraps, this latest reveal makes it clear that there’s plenty of new content to explore.
