Antstream Arcade Studio Head and Development Director Mike Rouse is set to leave the company at the end of the year, bringing his more than five-year time at the retro cloud gaming service to an end. Rouse announced his departure on LinkedIn, saying he was wrapping up his time at Antstream and looking forward to whatever comes next.
Rouse’s departure comes after a busy period for Antstream Arcade. During his time at the company, he was responsible for its creative direction, strategic planning, and talent management. He also worked on Xbox’s Retro Classics initiative, which surpassed 1 million users in less than a month.
The timing also follows the recent release of Alien Breed 35th Anniversary. Which Rouse highlighted in his announcement as a project he was particularly proud to finish. In his post, Rouse thanked his team and partners, including Team17 and Commodore.
Antstream Under Scrutiny

With Rouse leaving at the end of the year, Antstream will enter 2027 with a change in its development leadership as the company continues to build its subscription-based retro gaming service, alongside development of compilations and retro ports.
