As part of a 12 week celebration for the 15th anniversary of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, one of our favorite games in the series, Assassin’s Creed Origins, is going free to play on Stadia as well as other platforms from June 16 to June 20.
Assassin’s Creed Origins takes place in Egypt during the time of Cleopatra and Julius Caesar and covers the beginning of the brotherhood. The landscape is beautiful and the game mechanics are impressive – this game lays the foundation for Odyssey and Valhalla.
These free to play weekends are particularly great on Stadia where you can simply click and play, without spending time and drive space installing the game for just a taste test.
Should you decide you like the game after giving it a try, it is currently on sale on Stadia for the ridiculously low price of $8.99 for Stadia Pro subscribers (or $17.99 without Stadia Pro)! I’ve been playing the game recently and think it is worth this cost many times over.
Then, next week, a Stadia favorite, Rainbow Six Siege, goes free to play from June 23 to June 27! This is just after the release of Year 7 Season 2 “Operation Vector Glare” has gone live. The new season brings with it a new operator, a new team deathmatch map and a bunch of gameplay enhancements. The game has cross-platform support on Stadia and is popular across nearly all systems.
