Bethesda has lifted the lid on the details surrounding its next-gen update for Fallout 76.
In a blog post, they have confirmed that the update will launch later this summer, with a public playtest on the Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro versions of the game to take place in June.
Anyone who owns the game will be able to take part in these playtests, with the test version being available to download from the Xbox and PlayStation stores.
Gamers on these consoles can expect:
- Targeted 60 FPS across Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PS5 Pro.
- Improved draw distances.
- Improved shadows.
- 4K resolution (on compatible displays) on Xbox Series X, Xbox One X, PS5 Pro.
- VRR (on compatible displays) on Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS5, PS5 Pro.
- PS5 and PS4 Pro will support 1440p while previous generation platforms will continue to support 1080p.
Fallout 76 is widely available to play across several cloud gaming services, including GeForce NOW, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PlayStation Cloud Gaming and Boosteroid.
