Blacknut Partners With Media Ranch to Expand Cloud Gaming Across MENA

Blacknut has announced a new partnership with Media Ranch to expand its cloud gaming service through telecom operators across the Middle East and North Africa. Jawwal in Palestine will be the first operator to launch Blacknut under the agreement.

Jawwal subscribers will get access to Blacknut’s catalogue of more than 1,000 games through carrier-integrated billing. Media Ranch brings operator relationships across 14 MENA countries, along with mobile payments and digital content distribution.

This isn’t Blacknut’s first move into MENA. The difference here is that Media Ranch gives Blacknut another regional telecom network to work through as it looks to bring the service to more operators.

Jawwal Will Be the First Operator to Launch Blacknut

Jawwal is the first telecom operator named under the Blacknut and Media Ranch partnership. The rollout begins with Jawwal in Palestine.

Jawwal subscribers will be able to access Blacknut’s cloud gaming catalogue through an integrated carrier experience. Carrier billing is part of the rollout, tying access to the telecom relationship rather than treating payment as a separate step.

Blacknut offers more than 1,000 games across PCs, Smart TVs, smartphones, Macs, and tablets. The service doesn’t require downloads or installations, so subscribers can access the catalogue on supported devices without installing each game locally. Blacknut’s subscription also supports up to five profiles and four simultaneous controllers.

Media Ranch Brings a Wider Telecom Network Across MENA

Media Ranch currently works with telecom operators across 14 countries in MENA. Its business includes value-added services, digital content distribution, carrier billing, and mobile payments.

That 14-country footprint should not be read as 14 new Blacknut launches. Jawwal is the only operator deployment confirmed under this partnership so far.

Media Ranch gives Blacknut an established network of telecom partners as it looks to expand the service to more operators. Blacknut CEO Olivier Avaro said the company’s regional expertise and operator relationships were a key reason for the partnership.

Blacknut Continues Building Around Telecom Partnerships

This fits a wider Blacknut strategy that we’ve been following across several markets. In October 2025, Blacknut expanded across Kuwait through Mobile Arts’ MobiBox platform. A later STC Kuwait rollout let subscribers pay for Blacknut through their existing phone bill. Cloud Dosage covered both deployments at the time.

More recently, Blacknut partnered with Qwilt on infrastructure inside ISP networks. That plan puts GPU resources inside those networks so Blacknut can operate closer to subscribers, alongside Qwilt’s storage layer.

The Media Ranch deal tackles a different part of telecom distribution. It focuses on operator relationships, billing, payments, and digital content delivery rather than the computing infrastructure behind the service. Jawwal is the first confirmed deployment under the agreement. The partnership is intended to expand across MENA, but neither company has named the next operator or provided a timetable.
