Epic Games Store Free Games: March 12 – March 19, 2026 and Where to Play in the Cloud

A soldier in a gas mask runs with a rifle; beside him is a cute cartoon reindeer character in winter attire.

Every week, the Epic Games Store gives away one or more games for free. Once you claim them during the giveaway period, they’re yours to keep forever in your Epic library. It’s one of the easiest ways to grow your collection without spending anything, and many of these games also work on cloud platforms, giving you more ways to play.

Two free games this week on the Epic Games Store, and they couldn’t be more different. Cozy Grove is a life-sim about camping on a haunted island, helping ghostly bear spirits work through their pasts while you craft, fish, and bring colour back to the world around you. Isonzo drops you into the brutal mountain warfare of the Italian Front during World War I, where you’re picking a class, building a loadout, and fighting through historically accurate offensives in 24v24 matches. Grab both free until March 19, 2026, at 11 AM ET.

Below is a closer look at Cozy Grove and Isonzo and where you can play them in the cloud.

Cozy Grove Puts a Haunted Island Life-Sim in Your Hands

Cozy Grove is a life-sim from Spry Fox about setting up camp on an ever-changing haunted island. You’re playing as a Spirit Scout, and your job is to help the ghostly bear spirits who live there work through their unfinished business. Each day you head out into the forest, find new secrets, pick up quests tied to specific spirits, and slowly bring colour and life back to the island through crafting and decorating.

The game runs on real-world time, giving you around 30 to 60 minutes of new quest content each day. After that, you can fish, craft, decorate your camp, collect spirit animals, or just explore. It’s built to be something you return to daily rather than sit down and blast through, which makes it fit naturally into a routine. The island changes procedurally, so there’s always something new to find even in areas you’ve already been through.

If you’ve been looking for something in the Animal Crossing space that carries more storytelling with it, this is worth your time. Each spirit has their own extended backstory to uncover over multiple sessions, and the hand-drawn art style gives the whole island a distinct personality. It’s gentle without being empty, and the daily structure keeps it from ever feeling like homework.

Isonzo Takes You to the Deadliest Front of World War I

Isonzo is the third entry in the WW1 Game Series from BlackMill Games, and it puts you in the middle of the Italian Front, where Italy and the Austro-Hungarian Empire fought brutal battles across some of the most punishing terrain of the entire war. The fighting takes place in the Alps, across scenic mountain peaks, rugged valleys, and historic Italian towns, and the vertical terrain changes how every engagement plays out.

The main game mode is Offensive, where one team pushes through a series of defensive lines while the other holds them back. You pick from six classes, each tied to historical combat roles, and build your loadout from weapons, gear, and perks specific to that class. One shot can kill. Injuries bleed out fast. You’re cutting barbed wire, calling in artillery with a flare gun, crewing heavy machine guns, and using the mountain itself as cover. The game supports up to 48 players on PC and 40 on consoles.

Everything in Isonzo is built around research, from the weapons and uniforms down to the maps themselves, which are based on actual battlefields. If you’ve played Verdun or Tannenberg, you know what the series does well. Isonzo takes that same commitment to authenticity and moves it into the Alps, which opens up a completely different kind of warfare than the trenches of the Western Front.

Claim Cozy Grove and Isonzo Free Before March 19

Cozy Grove and Isonzo are free to claim on the Epic Games Store until March 19, 2026, at 11 AM ET. Once they’re in your library, they’re yours to keep. This is part of Epic’s weekly free game rotation, so there’s no reason not to grab both while they’re available.

This week gives you a pretty clear choice depending on what you’re after. If you want something to check in on daily, build a routine around, and take at whatever pace suits you, Cozy Grove is the easy pick. If you want something intense, tactical, and rooted in history with a real learning curve, Isonzo is ready when you are.

Looking ahead, the next free games on the Epic Games Store are Electrician Simulator and World of Warships — Epic Anniversary Tachibana Pack, available from March 19 to March 26, 2026. We’ll be back with a full breakdown once they go live, including where you can play them in the cloud.
