Every week, the Epic Games Store gives away one or more games for free. Once you claim them during the giveaway period, they’re yours to keep forever in your Epic library. It’s one of the easiest ways to grow your collection without spending anything. Many of these games also work on cloud platforms, giving you more ways to play.
Sorry We’re Closed is free on the Epic Games Store until November 5, 2026, at 11 AM ET. It’s a single-player survival horror game about Michelle, who has to break a curse placed on her by an archdemon. You’ll explore her London neighbourhood and fight demons using a mix of fixed-camera exploration and first-person combat.
Below is a closer look at Sorry We’re Closed, along with where you can play it in the cloud.
Sorry We’re Closed Mixes Fixed-Camera Horror With First-Person Combat
Sorry We’re Closed is a survival horror adventure from developer à la mode games and publisher Akupara Games. Michelle lives in a London neighbourhood where angels and demons have become part of her life. After an archdemon curses her, she needs to find a way to survive.
Exploration uses fixed camera angles as you search rooms, talk to residents and work through puzzles. Michelle’s Third Eye lets her see into the demon world. She can use it to reveal objects and paths that aren’t visible otherwise.
When combat starts, the view switches to first person so you can aim at enemies directly. Opening the Third Eye reveals weak points on demons that you can target. You’ll also need to manage ammunition and health as you explore.
Outside those fights, your conversations affect what happens to Michelle and the people she meets. There are multiple endings depending on your decisions. New Game+ also lets you carry over upgrades and collectibles if you want to return and explore another path through the story.
