Guacamelee 2 is now live on Luna. Amazon Luna is currently on a vicious tear, coming out with video games. Not just any video games. We are talking about good video games. There’s Games a la crème’. Games à la mode. We’ve got Games and other french dishes. It’s too much to take.
First, the recent announcement of Batman: Arkham Knight coming to Luna was welcome news after a soft start to 2023. Now, the previously announced Guacamelee! 2 is finally playable (including with Luna Couch). If you haven’t touched this game before, you owe it to yourself to jump in. It’s one of the best 2D Metroidvania’s out there, and it’s brimming with personality. No, you don’t need to play the first one. Secondly, Citizen Sleeper is now available. It’s more of a simulation wrapped up in a space adventure.

Choice Morsels
Amazon Luna has now also finally expanded into the UK and other territories. These developments are encouraging to see on a platform that was otherwise quiet for several months. Amazon’s fantastic tech will no doubt attract more users if they continue to bag great games like this. If Amazon can continue to court key partners like Rocksteady and Drinkbox, we will see a service transform.
Luna has the potential to be small in terms of scope, but mighty in power. With a small library packed with incredible games, Luna could really set themselves apart in the cloud gaming space. A customer might not need 100 games if they can play 20 truly amazing pieces. There’s hope that the Luna team will continue to develop the service and give it a unique identity among the competition. Of course, Cloud Dosage will continue to watch these developments as they happen!
