JioGames’ Kartikeya Awasthi Calls for TV and Controller Partnerships

Kartikeya Awasthi, who works on gaming IP development and strategic partnerships at Jio, is calling on Indian TV makers and controller companies to work more closely with cloud gaming platforms. In a LinkedIn post, Awasthi argued that JioGames could fill a role in India similar to gaming hubs from LG and Samsung.

JioGames is already part of Jio’s living-room setup. It’s available through both the Jio Set-Top Box and JioTele OS, while JioGames Cloud also supports Android TV. JioTele OS currently works with TV brands including Thomson, BPL, Kodak and JVC.

Controllers are already part of JioGames’ strategy too. JioGames recently partnered with EvoFox Gaming on an annual Pro Pass and controller bundle priced at ₹2,999. Awasthi did not announce any new OEM deals, but his comments point toward TVs and controllers as areas where JioGames could expand its reach in India.

JioGames Already Reaches TVs and Set-Top Boxes

JioTele OS brings Jio services directly to smart TVs, taking the company’s living-room offering beyond its own set-top box. That means JioGames already has a route onto television screens before any additional OEM partnerships come into the picture.

Thomson, BPL, Kodak and JVC are JioTele OS partners. Jio has not announced separate JioGames partnerships with those TV brands.

EvoFox Partnered With JioGames on a Controller Bundle

The EvoFox deal is a current example of JioGames working directly with a controller manufacturer. The ₹2,999 bundle includes a one-year JioGames Pro Pass and an EvoFox One S controller.

JioGames also maintains a tested-controller list that includes hardware from EvoFox, Cosmic Byte, Zebronics, Ant Esports and Jio. EvoFox is the confirmed commercial partnership here, while the other brands appear on the compatibility list.

Awasthi Calls for More Indian OEM Partnerships

Awasthi wants Indian TV and controller manufacturers to go further. He points to LG and Samsung as examples of companies that have integrated cloud gaming more deeply into their television platforms.

In January 2026, LG launched its Designed for LG Gaming Portal certification program. The Razer Wolverine V3 Bluetooth became its first certified controller, with LG promoting sub-three-millisecond response times for cloud gaming on compatible webOS TVs.

Awasthi argues that Indian OEMs could follow a similar route without developing their own cloud gaming infrastructure. For JioGames, he sees wider TV and controller distribution as a way to reach more customers through hardware they already use.

His post stops short of announcing new deals. JioGames currently has TV distribution through JioTele OS and a confirmed controller partnership with EvoFox. Awasthi is calling for more Indian manufacturers to join that model.
