LG Electronics is rolling out a new wave of games to its LG Gaming Portal, expanding what you can play directly on LG Smart TVs without needing a console, PC, or external streaming device.
The update adds more cloud-based and casual gaming options across webOS-powered TVs, adding more cloud-based and casual gaming options across webOS-powered TVs. With support for remote controls, smartphones, and cloud delivery, LG continues to position its Gaming Portal as a low-barrier way to play on the biggest screen in the house.
Cloud and Casual Games Continue to Grow on LG Smart TVs
LG’s Gaming Portal now offers more than 4,000 cloud-based games and over 600 casual titles, all playable directly on supported LG Smart TVs. The focus remains on instant access, with no downloads, installs, or dedicated hardware required.
The update allows games to be accessed directly through the TV using cloud services, rather than consoles or PCs.
Blacknut Adds Racing and Narrative Experiences
Blacknut continues to expand its presence on LG Smart TVs with new additions to the portal. Arcade racing fans can jump into Asphalt Legends Unite, available free with ads in the US. All cars and tracks are unlocked from the start, and gameplay is designed to work smoothly with the TV remote’s directional controls.
Also joining the lineup is My Little Puppy, a story-driven adventure published by Krafton. The game features a narrative focus and detailed environments, presented on the TV’s larger display.
Just Dance Now Arrives on webOS TVs
One of the biggest additions is Just Dance Now, now available on LG Smart TVs running webOS 22 or later in select regions including the US, Australia, Sweden, and Norway. Wider European availability is expected in the coming weeks.
Through LG’s partnership with Ubisoft, the game can be played using the LG Magic Remote’s motion controls. Letting you follow routines and track movement without a console or dedicated controller. It’s designed for quick, social play.
Voice-Controlled Games Join the Portal
LG has also partnered with Volley to bring voice-controlled games to the Gaming Portal in the US. The lineup includes familiar game-show formats like Jeopardy! alongside music trivia titles such as Song Quiz.
The games rely on voice controls instead of standard game controllers, making them accessible through the TV itself.
Smartphones Can Now Act as Controllers
To make things even more flexible, LG has introduced a new Wi-Fi-based mobile gamepad app. Available on both Android and iOS. The app allows your phone to function as a controller for supported titles, without requiring a separate physical controller. Making multiplayer or shared play easier to set up.
Hackathon Winners Join the Gaming Portal
LG is also spotlighting creativity from its webOS developer community. Two award-winning games from last year’s LG webOS Hackathon have now been added to the Gaming Portal.
Quest of Sunflower by Couchplay, the Grand Prize winner, offers a family-friendly adventure built around AI-driven storytelling. Signs of Magic by Lukas Klingsbo places the LG Magic Remote front and centre, using its motion sensors to cast spells through gesture-based controls.
