PLEIO’s latest summer content update has added Under The Waves, Agatha Christie – Death on the Nile, Jewel Match, Aquascapes Collector’s Edition and True Fear: Forsaken Souls – Part 3 to its cloud gaming catalogue.
The update covers longer adventures, puzzle games and horror. Under The Waves and Death on the Nile are the two that stand out most, so that’s where we’ll start.
Under The Waves And Death On The Nile Focus On Story And Investigation
Under The Waves
Under The Waves follows professional diver Stan as he works beneath the North Sea in an alternate version of 1979. A personal loss has pushed him away from life on the surface, and strange events begin to interrupt his work deep below the water.
You can cross the seabed in Stan’s submarine, leave it to explore caves and wrecks, and collect materials used to craft equipment. Under The Waves is the first game I’d try from this group because its underwater setting and submarine exploration immediately separate it from the puzzle-heavy additions.
Agatha Christie – Death on the Nile
Agatha Christie – Death on the Nile moves the murder mystery to Egypt during the 1970s. Hercule Poirot investigates a crime aboard a Nile cruise, while private detective Jane Royce pursues another murderer through London, Majorca, New York and Egypt. Their investigations eventually meet.
Clues are organized through a mind map that lets you connect evidence before confronting suspects. The game also continues beyond the events of Agatha Christie’s novel, so knowing the original story won’t reveal everything waiting in this adaptation.
Jewel Match And Aquascapes Collector’s Edition Offer Two Puzzle Options
Jewel Match
Jewel Match is a traditional match-three game with 150 levels. Matching colourful gems removes the golden tiles from each board, and you can choose between timed play and a Relaxed mode.
Jewel Match keeps its attention on clearing boards and creating combinations without a long introduction or story setup.
Aquascapes Collector’s Edition
Aquascapes Collector’s Edition combines hidden-object scenes with aquarium customization. Finding objects earns money that can be used to decorate tanks, select new backgrounds and care for interactive fish.
The Collector’s Edition includes more than 70 hidden-object levels, 18 fish and additional aquarium decorations. Completing each scene also moves the aquarium portion forward instead of simply opening another puzzle.
True Fear: Forsaken Souls – Part 3 Finishes The Trilogy
True Fear: Forsaken Souls – Part 3 concludes the psychological horror trilogy and continues Holly Stonehouse’s investigation into her family’s past. It uses point-and-click exploration and puzzles to answer questions carried across the first two games.
Starting with Part 3 may make the story difficult to follow if you haven’t played the earlier chapters. For returning fans, its arrival on PLEIO provides another way to finish Holly’s story.
All five games are available now through PLEIO and can be played with the bundled PLEIO gamepad.
