PlayStation is bringing PS5 cloud streaming to South Korea on October 28, 2026. PlayStation Plus Premium members will be able to stream supported PS5 games on their consoles and PlayStation Portal. That includes more than 300 games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, alongside eligible digital games they already own.

The launch follows a subscription change for Korean members. PlayStation Plus Deluxe became PlayStation Plus Premium on October 21, with existing members automatically upgraded at no additional cost. Cloud streaming joins their current membership benefits when the service goes live next week.

PlayStation Plus Deluxe Members Move to PlayStation Plus Premium

Existing PlayStation Plus Deluxe subscribers in South Korea don’t need to take any action. Their memberships have moved to PlayStation Plus Premium, retaining benefits such as PlayStation Plus Monthly Games, online multiplayer, PlayStation Store discounts, exclusive content packs, and cloud storage.

The new streaming benefit starts October 28, rather than October 21 when the plan name changed. For Korean members, it opens up cloud access to supported PS5 games without having to download them first.

Hundreds of PS5 Games Available Through Cloud Streaming

The PlayStation Plus Game Catalog will have more than 300 supported games available to stream in South Korea. Horizon Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima, Final Fantasy XVI, and Hogwarts Legacy are among the games included.

PlayStation Plus Premium members can also stream thousands of eligible digital PS5 games they own or purchase through the PlayStation Store. Grand Theft Auto V, Ghost of Yōtei, and Zenless Zone Zero are among the examples PlayStation has named. These owned games expand the options beyond the subscription catalog.

Eligible PS5 games from the PlayStation Plus Classics Catalog are supported too. Members can stream supported PlayStation Plus Monthly Games they’ve added to their library during the monthly availability period. Compatible DLC and additional content also work with streamed games, while Game Trials included with PlayStation Plus Premium can only be streamed on PS5 consoles.

South Korea’s launch is restricted to eligible digital PS5 games. PS3 and PS4 streaming isn’t included, and neither disc-based PS5 games nor PS VR2 games are supported.

PS5 and PlayStation Portal Streaming Details

The launch also brings standalone cloud streaming to PlayStation Portal in South Korea. PlayStation Plus Premium members can stream supported PS5 games on the handheld without connecting to a console, even when their PS5 is turned off or in use. Cloud saves will let them continue their progress across supported devices.

On PS5, streaming can reach up to 4K at 60Hz, while PlayStation Portal supports up to 1080p at 60fps. Once the service launches on October 28, members can find eligible games through PlayStation Portal’s cloud streaming home screen and search.
