Last month, Amazon Luna expanded to three new countries – UK, Germany and Canada. Users in those countries could immediately play Amazon Luna in their web browser (on both desktop or mobile). However, owners of Samsung TVs (which already have support for Amazon Luna in the US) weren’t able to access the service in those countries.
Just under a month later, the Luna app has now gone live on Samsung TVs in the three new countries. No explanation was given for the delay, but localization of an app can certainly require a bit of effort.
Amazon Luna is still slated to come to LG’s WebOS TVs later this year. Hopefully the app arrives in all countries at the same time when it is released.
