Vodafone TV has officially launched in the UK with more than 300 cloud games through Netgem’s PLEIO platform. The Android TV service is available now to Vodafone customers with an eligible mobile or broadband plan. Plans start at £10 per month. Blacknut is also downloadable on the box through Google Play. Its separate subscription service offers more than 1,000 games.

In September, Vodafone only gave an October launch window and had not announced pricing. The service is now on sale with PLEIO cloud gaming included across every Vodafone TV plan. Vodafone TV also includes Freely, more than 150 additional live TV channels, streaming apps and thousands more apps through Google Play.

PLEIO Cloud Gaming Comes With Every Vodafone TV Plan

Every Vodafone TV plan includes access to more than 300 cloud games powered by Netgem PLEIO. Vodafone says the games can be played using a smartphone or a compatible Bluetooth controller. The box uses Android TV with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It also supports 4K video, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos on selected content.

Netgem CEO Mathias Hautefort said the company handles the technology, content and day-to-day operation of Vodafone TV. That includes aggregating the games available through the service.

Vodafone TV costs £10 per month. Vodafone TV Essential costs £17 per month and includes Netflix Standard with Ads and HBO Max Standard with Ads. Mobile customers can combine a Vodafone Entertainment plan with Vodafone TV Essential. That creates Vodafone TV Ultimate for £25.50 per month. Vodafone lists scheduled price increases beginning in April 2027.

Blacknut Is Now Downloadable From Google Play

Blacknut is separate from the 300-plus PLEIO games included with Vodafone TV. Customers can download the Blacknut app directly from Google Play on the Vodafone TV box. They can then sign in with their Blacknut account.

A Blacknut subscription provides access to more than 1,000 games. Its catalogue includes games from publishers including Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Disney and Square Enix, along with other publishers.

On Vodafone TV, the two catalogues remain separate. PLEIO is included with Vodafone TV. Blacknut is downloaded separately and requires its own subscription.

Vodafone TV is available now to eligible Vodafone mobile or broadband customers. It can be bought directly from Vodafone and at Currys stores nationwide. Currys offers the broadband and TV bundle.
