AMD Pushes Boosteroid’s Cloud Infrastructure Beyond Gaming

Boosteroid is getting a bigger AMD stage for its cloud infrastructure, and this is not only about playing PC games through the cloud anymore.

We covered Boosteroid’s custom AMD architecture in April, when the discussion was mainly around 4K cloud gaming, 120 FPS streaming, and the service moving past 8 million users. AMD’s new partner post takes that same server foundation and points it toward AI, machine learning, and VFX rendering.

Boosteroid’s cloud gaming service is not changing here. There is no new plan, region, game batch, or app update. The interesting part is what Boosteroid wants that AMD-powered server footprint to become.

Boosteroid Is Selling More Than Cloud Gaming

Boosteroid is still a cloud gaming service first for most people. That’s the part you actually use. You open the app, connect your PC library, and play through the cloud without relying on a local gaming PC.

This wider AMD positioning is about the business behind that service. Boosteroid’s custom server approach now sits beside AMD EPYC processors, AMD Radeon GPUs, ASUS server solutions, and larger cloud workloads. That makes it a business infrastructure story, not a normal service update about games, plans, or app support.

It makes sense when you strip the idea down. Boosteroid already needs GPU power, fast response times, and a wide data center footprint for cloud gaming. Those same pieces are also useful for businesses that need remote GPU capacity for heavier work.

That doesn’t make cloud gaming less important to Boosteroid. It just explains why the company keeps talking about the infrastructure under the service, not only the games you can stream through it.

AI And VFX Push Boosteroid’s Servers Past Gaming

AI, machine learning, and VFX rendering are where Boosteroid’s infrastructure push starts to move beyond gaming. AMD is placing those workloads beside the same cloud setup Boosteroid already uses for its gaming service.

That lines up with the company’s broader Neocloud direction. In plain terms, Boosteroid is presenting itself as a more specialized GPU cloud provider instead of trying to act like a general public cloud company. Cloud gaming remains the visible product, but the server network can support other demanding work too.

I find that part interesting. A cloud gaming company already has to solve some hard problems: graphics power, response times, and data center placement. If Boosteroid can use that same infrastructure for AI, machine learning, and VFX workloads, it has more ways to use the servers it’s already building.

That’s where the AMD and ASUS connection comes in. AMD provides the EPYC CPUs and Radeon GPUs, while ASUS is part of the server solution. Boosteroid brings the platform, data center footprint, and cloud gaming service that most users recognize.

Boosteroid’s cloud gaming service is still the public-facing piece. The bigger AMD and ASUS connection shows the GPU cloud business Boosteroid wants running behind it.
