The Regal Update Is Live Now
The first major update for the ball-bouncing rougelite, BALL x PIT, has launched.
Titled ‘The Regal Update’, it adds a host of new content to the game, including new characters, balls and even a brand new mode.
Players can now play as The Falconer. A brand-new character who fires two balls launched by birds on the side of the screen. This adds a new wide attack dynamic to the game.
Another new character added is The Drunkard. A medieval, royal troublemaker who uses a personal gravity field to bend the trajectories of the balls he launches.
There is also a selection of 8 new balls being added to the game, including:
- Fireworks, which burst outward in bright, unpredictable patterns, scattering damage in every direction
- The Stone Ball, which hits like a truck on impact but slowly crumbles as it keeps bouncing
- The Landslide, which triggers a cascading wave of debris in front of the first impact point and deals damage that lasts for a few seconds to surrounding enemies
Finally, a much-requested feature has been added: endless mode.
Once players have completed the game, each area can be played again for as long as they can survive. After defeating the respective boss, you can choose to continue playing indefinitely.

The game can also be played in the cloud on a host of services, including GeForce NOW, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PlayStation Cloud Gaming and Boosteroid.
