Fibrus, a Northern Ireland-based broadband provider, has announced Fibrus TV, a new PLEIO-powered service launching in mid-September with more than 300 cloud games built into the package. The service starts at £7.99 per month for new and existing Fibrus broadband customers. A wireless gamepad is included.
Fibrus TV Includes More Than 300 PLEIO Cloud Games
PLEIO handles the gaming side of Fibrus TV as part of Netgem’s wider WATCH. STREAM. PLAY. platform. The cloud gaming library includes more than 300 games, with the supplied wireless controller included as part of the package.
Gaming sits alongside the rest of the Fibrus TV experience rather than appearing as a separate service. The platform also brings together live television, streamed channels, and entertainment apps through the same device.
Fibrus TV includes more than 100 live television channels through Freely, around 150 additional streamed channels, and entertainment apps through Google Play. The service is delivered as part of Fibrus’s broadband offering rather than as a standalone television product.
That gives Fibrus a broader entertainment bundle while making PLEIO one of the service’s built-in features from launch. The gaming catalogue sits inside the television package rather than being presented as a separate service.
PLEIO Adds Another UK Broadband Partner
The Fibrus announcement comes only days after another major PLEIO deployment was confirmed in the UK. Vodafone TV is launching in October with more than 300 PLEIO cloud games integrated into its television platform, alongside separate access to Blacknut through Google Play.
Fibrus gives Netgem another broadband provider using the same broader approach. PLEIO becomes part of a TV and entertainment package from the start rather than sitting outside the service as an optional gaming add-on.
The timing makes the two announcements especially notable. Vodafone TV arrives in October, while Fibrus TV is due to become available in mid-September.
For Netgem, Fibrus adds another UK deployment for PLEIO only days after the Vodafone TV announcement. For Fibrus customers, it means more than 300 cloud games will be part of the new TV package when it rolls out later this month.
