Netgem says Mafia II: Definitive Edition is now available through JioGames’ cloud gaming service in India. The game is also launching through Telkom Indonesia’s HELD offer, extending Netgem’s 2K relationship into two major Asian telecom ecosystems.

Netgem announced the expansion in a LinkedIn post and connected it to Mafia: Definitive Edition on PLEIO. The company is using Mafia II: Definitive Edition to show how its publisher relationships can reach customers through telecom-operated gaming services.

PLEIO Expands Its 2K Relationship Across Asia

Netgem is bringing Mafia II: Definitive Edition to JioGames and HELD as part of its wider cloud gaming expansion. The company says the two telecom ecosystems have customer bases numbering in the hundreds of millions.

Netgem distributes its cloud gaming offer through telecom operators in several markets. That model lets publishers reach those customers without requiring them to have a console or download the game first.

We’ve been following Netgem’s connections to Jio and Telkom Indonesia for several months. In March, we reported that Netgem identified both operators while discussing its cloud gaming growth across 10 markets. Mafia II now adds another recognizable 2K game to those relationships.

This isn’t the first Mafia game tied to Netgem’s 2K relationship. Mafia: Definitive Edition joined PLEIO in the UK earlier this year as part of the service’s existing subscription. We covered its arrival in February as one of PLEIO’s higher-profile AAA additions.

Netgem Continues Its Publisher Push Ahead Of Gamescom

The timing lines up with Netgem’s upcoming trip to Gamescom 2026 in Cologne from August 26 to 30. We reported last month that Netgem plans to meet publishers already connected to PLEIO and talk with potential new partners.

Those publisher meetings are one side of the company’s expansion strategy. Netgem has also been targeting more telecom operators that could distribute PLEIO and its cloud gaming catalogue to their customers.

Mafia II gives Netgem a current example of those two sides coming together. The company already has a relationship with 2K. Now Mafia II is reaching JioGames in India and Telkom Indonesia’s HELD offer.

Netgem is heading to Gamescom next, where it plans to build on its publisher relationships and meet potential new partners. Those discussions could determine which games arrive through Netgem’s cloud gaming partnerships next.
