PHYND‘s beta is now available on supported Amazon Fire TV devices in the United States. This brings its subscription-free cloud gaming service to Fire TV Sticks, Fire TV Cube and selected Amazon Ember Smart TVs. The app can be installed through the Amazon Appstore and used with either a compatible game controller or PHYND’s smartphone-based virtual controller.
The August 11 launch follows PHYND’s May announcement. Where they planned to expand to Fire TV devices and Fire tablets during the summer. Fire TV support is now live, while today’s Fire TV announcement does not include Fire tablets.
PHYND Supports Fire TV Sticks, Fire TV Cube And Amazon Ember TVs
PHYND isn’t available across every Fire TV device, so you’ll need one of the supported models to access the beta. Compatible streaming hardware includes the Fire TV Stick 4K 2nd Gen, Fire TV Stick 4K Max 1st and 2nd Gen, Fire TV Stick 4K Plus and Fire TV Cube 3rd Gen. Selected Amazon Ember Smart TVs are supported as well. Including the Ember 2-Series, 4-Series, QLED Series and Mini-LED Series.
Once installed from the Amazon Appstore, PHYND can be controlled with a compatible gamepad. You can also use PHYND’s smartphone-based virtual controller.
PHYND remains free to use without a paid subscription. The service is ad-supported, continuing the same subscription-free model used for its existing Smart TV beta.

These are featured games for the Fire TV launch rather than the full PHYND catalogue, which continues to expand beyond this ten-game selection.
Fire TV Expands PHYND Beyond Smart TV Hardware
PHYND initially launched its U.S. beta through Samsung Gaming Hub in May before expanding to supported LG Smart TVs in July. The service now spans Samsung TVs from 2022 onward, LG TVs from 2021 onward and compatible Fire TV hardware in the U.S. The Fire TV rollout widens that device support because compatible streaming sticks and Fire TV Cube hardware can bring PHYND to televisions that don’t have the service built in.
That’s a meaningful difference from PHYND’s earlier Smart TV launches. Someone with a supported Fire TV streaming device can install the app through the Amazon Appstore instead of needing a compatible Samsung, LG or Amazon television.
For PHYND, Fire TV adds another route to its subscription-free cloud gaming service on the television. Fire tablets were part of the company’s previously announced Amazon expansion plans, but they aren’t included in the August 11 Fire TV launch announcement.
