PHYND has announced its Spooky Season collection for Halloween, bringing two new games, Necro Story and Murder Mystery Machine, to the cloud gaming service. The collection also includes existing catalogue games Voodolls, Beholder, The Last Gas Station and other spooky adventures.
Necro Story
Necro Story, rated E10+, brings some humour to the Halloween collection. Developed by Rablo Games, it’s a creature-collection RPG where you play as a necromancer who can turn defeated enemies into undead allies. Rather than simply fighting monsters, you can capture their souls and bring them into your team.
You’ll also learn necromancy spells, summon skeletons and zombies, and decide which creatures to bring into battle. Your necromancer heads into the Underworld to save humanity with help from a playful white mage’s ghost. The story mixes that strange rescue mission with undead humour.
There’s more to the magic than raising the dead. Necro Story has over 20 spells across five schools of magic. Each spell has its own skill tree. Signing Dark Pacts lets you transform into demons, while hidden paths and puzzles can lead to new equipment for your team.
Murder Mystery Machine
Murder Mystery Machine, rated T, goes in a different direction. Developed by Blazing Griffin, the detective adventure follows rookie investigator Cassandra Clarke and her reluctant partner, Nate Huston. Their investigation begins with the murder of a prominent politician, but the evidence soon connects to a larger series of crimes.
You’ll explore isometric crime scenes, question suspects and look for contradictions in their stories. Evidence is organized on a detective mind map, where you connect clues and work toward solving each case. You can rotate each crime scene to find clues that aren’t visible from the first angle.
Once you’ve connected the clues, you’ll need to present your case. That means deciding who was responsible, what happened and why. Fewer hints and wrong answers mean a better rank, and you can replay completed cases to improve it.
More Halloween Games and Free Account Access
For anyone looking for something darker, XIII, Deathbound and Beholder 2 are also featured in the Spooky Season collection. These mature-rated games require a free PHYND account.
With Halloween coming up, you can raise the dead in Necro Story, investigate a murder in Murder Mystery Machine or turn to one of the darker games in the collection.
