Riders Republic Rides Into the Sunset on Stadia

Riders Republic – Ubisoft’s open world, extreme sports racing game has begun its ride into the sunset on Google Stadia.

As season 4 updates continuously, today’s update (28th October 2022) will be the last update that Stadia will receive. The announcement is part of the latest community update. You will still be able to play the game. But in-game experiences will start to differ from other platforms, as new content and bug fixes won’t be coming. Currently, there is no word on whether that will mean the Cross-play feature will need to be switched off in the future.

Ubisoft, one of the biggest supporters of Stadia, have said that they are working on bringing all the games you own on Stadia to PC through Ubisoft Connect. All game progression is saved via Ubisoft Connect. So you will be able to carry on where you left off on any platform you choose.

It is unfortunate that Riders Republic will not be updated any further. But it’s not surprising, given the date of Stadia’s demise is fast approaching. Whilst this is one of the first games to announce that development will stop for Stadia, I don’t think it will be the last.
