Amazon reports that Amazon Luna’s user base has grown fivefold since the cloud gaming service relaunched on October 23, 2025. Jeff Gattis, Amazon’s general manager of gaming, shared the figure as the redesigned service marked its first anniversary.
That doesn’t tell us exactly how many people are using Amazon Luna. Amazon hasn’t disclosed its starting or current user count, or whether the figure represents active users. For Prime members, Luna Standard included more than 50 games at relaunch. That library now has more than 80.
Amazon Luna Expands Its Library With Day-One Releases
On October 6, STAR WARS: Galactic Racer launched on Amazon Luna the same day it arrived on other platforms. It was the service’s first day-and-date release, and if you’ve got Prime, you can stream it without paying extra.
The wider Amazon Luna library also includes Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Star Wars Outlaws, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Dispatch. EA SPORTS FC 26 was part of the service’s summer lineup, with more sports games planned.
Amazon Luna has changed quite a bit over the past year, too. In April, Amazon removed support for GOG, EA and Ubisoft storefronts and stopped selling individual games through the service. Bring Your Own Library access ended on June 3. If you purchased games through those stores, they’re still in your PC libraries. You just can’t stream them through Amazon Luna using the old feature.
The service now focuses on its Prime-included Luna Standard library and the separate paid Luna Premium subscription. Amazon hasn’t broken down its reported fivefold user growth by membership tier.
Prime Video Adds Amazon Luna in Canada, France, Italy and Spain
In Canada, you can now access Amazon Luna games directly through Prime Video on supported Fire TV devices. The integration first launched in the US and UK in July before expanding to Canada, France, Italy and Spain this week.
Eight more countries are scheduled to receive it in November: Austria, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and Sweden.
Amazon is also connecting shows on Prime Video with games available through Amazon Luna. You can watch Masters of the Universe and then play Masters of the Universe: Legends Unite. After watching Batman: Caped Crusader, you can explore Gotham in Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles.
Amazon Luna’s cloud gaming service was already available in these countries. What’s new is being able to launch games from inside Prime Video without switching apps. Prime’s downloadable PC games remain a separate benefit.
GameNight Adds Remote Play and More Exclusives
When Amazon Luna relaunched, GameNight arrived with more than 25 trivia, board, racing and party games. You don’t need extra controllers to join in. Just scan a QR code on your TV and use your phone to play.
The collection now includes games like King of Tokyo and The Game of LIFE 2. You’ll also find Amazon Luna exclusives Space Metal Mania and Bowling Mayhem. Remote Play also lets you invite friends and family to join supported multiplayer games online. You don’t have to be in the same room.
Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg is another GameNight exclusive. You make your case to an AI-powered judge who reacts to your arguments in real time. An Arnold Schwarzenegger edition followed, and Amazon is now experimenting with AI in other Amazon Luna games.
Amazon hasn’t shared which games or features contributed most to its fivefold user growth. Amazon Luna has more day-one releases and additional device support planned. Amazon hasn’t announced specific games or dates yet.
