Blacknut Cloud Gaming Arrives on Whale TV Smart TVs

Whale TV

Blacknut Cloud Gaming is now available as a native app on Whale TV Smart TVs, adding a library of over 1,000 games to the software. This launch allows you to stream games directly to the television without the requirement for traditional console equipment or local downloads. Thierry Teyssier, Front-End Dev Team Manager Head of Design at Blacknut, announced the rollout through a social media update.

Supported TV Brands and Regional Access

Whale TV is the operating software used by several major manufacturers and serves as the successor to the Zeasn platform. The Blacknut app is now available on compatible 4K and HD models from brands such as Philips, Sharp, RCA, JVC, and Telefunken.

This integration is part of a global expansion that covers Europe, North America, and South America. Because Whale TV uses an architecture that makes it easy to port Android-based apps, cloud gaming services are appearing on these screens at a faster pace.

Using Your Smartphone as a Controller

The integration includes support for the Blacknut Companion app. This software turns your smartphone into a virtual gamepad instantly. It removes the requirement for you to buy a dedicated Bluetooth controller to play.

The app also recently received an update that added multiplayer support, which is helpful for families. You can manage up to five different profiles on one subscription to keep save data and personal progress separate for everyone in the house.

A Massive Library Without Downloads

The “Click & Play” interface provides immediate access to a library that includes more than 1,000 games. The catalogue covers various genres like racing, puzzles, and action, providing a diverse selection of games for you to explore at no extra cost. Because the games run in the cloud, you don’t have to wait for large updates or installations.

This launch is another step toward a world where your television acts as the console itself. It turns your screen into a central hub for both video and interactive entertainment. For the most stable results when streaming, a wired Ethernet connection is recommended. If you’re using wireless, a WiFi 7 router provides the wider channels needed to keep latency at an imperceptible level.
