Netgem PLEIO Partners With Outright Games

Netgem PLEIO is expanding its licensed family game catalogue through a new partnership with Outright Games. The deal brings several Outright Games releases to PLEIO, with the first games already live in the UK.

The Outright Games selection includes NBA Bounce, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game, Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure, DC Justice League: Cosmic Chaos, Hotel Transylvania 3: Monsters Overboard, and Barbie: Horse Adventures. More Outright Games releases are part of the agreement, but the rest of the catalogue hasn’t been detailed yet.

For PLEIO, this is bigger than a normal catalogue update. Outright Games has focused much of its catalogue on family entertainment, licensed characters, and games aimed at younger audiences. That fits PLEIO’s TV-first model, where games sit beside TV channels, streaming services, and entertainment recommendations rather than operating as a separate gaming storefront.

Outright Games Broadens PLEIO’s Family Catalogue

PLEIO has already been growing through regular cloud gaming additions. NBA Bounce was part of a recent six-game update on the service, alongside SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game, Gigantosaurus: Dino Kart, The Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom, Dome Keeper, and Backpack Hero.

This partnership connects Netgem with several family-focused games from the same publisher instead of relying only on individual game additions. In a household setting, someone can turn on the TV, open PLEIO, and choose something to watch or play without downloading a game first.

The Outright Games partnership cover a useful spread of brands. SpongeBob SquarePants, Ice Age, DC, Hotel Transylvania, Barbie, and the NBA all speak to different types of family play. Some are aimed at younger kids. Some are better suited for co-op or shared-room play. Others put more familiar names in front of people who may be seeing PLEIO inside a TV or broadband bundle.

The First Games Are Live In The UK

The first Outright Games releases are already available through PLEIO in the UK. Netgem hasn’t named the next launch dates or markets yet. This is not every Outright Games release appearing on every Netgem-supported service at the same time. The partnership is planned for Netgem platforms worldwide, but access starts in the UK before more markets are added.

PLEIO’s broader strategy has been about distribution. Netgem works with telecom and TV partners, which gives cloud gaming into broadband and TV a different path into homes. Instead of asking someone to sign up for a dedicated game service first, PLEIO can appear inside the entertainment bundle they already use through their operator.

Licensed family games fit that model well. A parent or casual user scrolling through a TV interface is more likely to recognize SpongeBob, Barbie, Ice Age, DC, or the NBA than a smaller unknown game. That doesn’t make smaller games less valuable, but familiar brands can make the gaming section easier to understand at a glance.

PLEIO Uses Familiar Brands For TV-Based Cloud Gaming

The Outright Games deal follows Netgem’s recent Untold Tales partnership and its steady PLEIO catalogue updates. Netgem is giving PLEIO more games people recognize from the same screen they already use for TV and streaming.

PLEIO sits apart from cloud gaming services that mainly speak to people already following the space. It’s also aimed at households that may discover gaming through the same screen they already use for shows, sports, and streaming apps.

For PLEIO, the Outright Games partnership adds more familiar family games without changing the service’s TV-first approach. The UK gets the first wave, and the next question is where Netgem brings those games next.
