Four New Games Coming Soon to Stadia

It’s Blog Post Thursday on the Stadia Community blog, and you know what this means – a brand new Next up on Stadia blog post detailing four new games coming soon to the platform. Let’s take a look at the varied list of games that has been announced:

Previously hinted by a PEGI rating. Developed by TeaForTwo and published by Goblinz Publishing, Fractale, Maple Whispering Limited.

Build the ideal ski resort to keep your skiers smiling all the way down the mountain. Get to know every cliff and crevice as you plan pistes, place lifts and build essential facilities. Take on the challenge to create a resort where life is always good!

  • Plan your pistes – Place pistes on the mountainside in just a few clicks with the easy-to-use creation tool. Read the terrain, and choose the best spot to lay down trails for every skier ability. Plan, build and improve until you’ve created your dream ski area.
  • Welcome skiers of every kind – You might have thought perfect pistes were enough to keep skiers happy, but it’s not so simple. With 12 different skier profiles in the game, some are more interested in a good raclette, while others come to commune with nature. And then there are the hardcore ski fanatics, who won’t settle for anything less than the longest run the mountain has to offer.
  • Sit back and chill on the mountain – Once your resort is built and your skiers are happy, you deserve a little break. So find yourself a perfect little corner on the mountain to drink it all in, maybe near a pretty forest piste next to a ski lift perched on a picturesque clifftop.

Developed and published by Antler.

Somni is a multiplayer, psychological horror first person shooter where players will need to banish ethereal beings – ghostly entities that are not always visible to the naked eye. To defeat them, you’ll need to find some evidence first before you can face off against these monstrosities.

  • Switching Your Playstyle – When up against an Ethereal it is best to hide under beds or in closets to avoid being spotted. These types of Entities are confined to a residence and can corner a player if they aren’t perceptive enough. Cryptids are always present in their open environments. Hiding behind containers and firing your weapon only when necessary gives you the best chance to survive.
  • Unique Perks and Abilities – Use your earnings from banishing the entity to try out the 11 Abilities available to choose from in the Perk Shop. Each Perk is special and useful for different situations and dependent on the opponent you will be up against!
  • Become Fully Immersed – Somni is playable with a Mouse and Keyboard or Gamepad with up to 6 Player Online Co-Op and a Server Browser with Proximity Chat that allows players to connect and share their experience.
  • Not Only Cryptids – Amalgamations are insect-like clusters of bone that roam mostly around Cryptid Environments. They are as fast as the player and can kill just as fast as the Cryptid itself. Keep them at a safe distance and stay out of their sight.

Gravitar: Recharged

Discovered by our team last week, Gravitar: Recharged (developed by Adamvision Studios, SneakyBox and published by Atari) is confirmed on its way to Stadia.

A lone pilot, far from home, must navigate an abstract universe of uncharted planets and space stations guarded by mysterious, hostile aliens in Gravitar: Recharged. You must complete missions in each solar system, navigating a variety of challenging environments, each with varying levels of gravity that will test your skills as a pilot. Complete each mission within a solar system and you will be transported to the next through a massive black hole. Will you ever make it home?

With Gravitar: Recharged Atari revisits an incredibly ambitious arcade title. The 1982 original took the rotate, thrust and fire mechanics of Asteroids and Space Duel, combined them with the gravity of Lunar Lander, and added exploration and elements of cave flying. The result was an extremely challenging arcade game that was eventually ported to the Atari 2600. The game, which did not achieve broad commercial success, has become a cult classic among Atari enthusiasts.

The visual aesthetic of Gravitar: Recharged takes the Recharged series in a new direction, with expansive environments rendered in painterly style and pastel tones. In the capable hands of industry-veteran composer Megan McDuffee, the original soundtrack complements the art style with soothing, atmospheric tracks that evoke a sense of wonder.
