Blacknut Is Turning Cloud Gaming Into an Entertainment Layer for TV Platforms

Blacknut has spent 2026 expanding deeper into the services and platforms people already use for TV and entertainment. The cloud gaming service launched on VIZIO OS and Whale TV, while Totalplay added it to its telecom offering in Mexico. In a LinkedIn post tied to IBC 2026, Blacknut continued pushing the same idea. Cloud gaming can sit inside existing entertainment platforms instead of depending only on a standalone consumer app.

That doesn’t mean Blacknut is moving away from its own subscription. The company still distributes directly to consumers, but it also offers several ways for other businesses to add Blacknut to their own services. CEO Olivier Avaro has described that mix as a hybrid distribution strategy. The strategy isn’t new. What has changed in 2026 is how often Blacknut is now appearing inside TV platforms and operator services.

Blacknut Offers More Than a Standalone App

Blacknut’s business model goes well beyond putting its existing app on another company’s device.

A partner can distribute Blacknut as a branded service or rework it under its own identity through a white-label setup. Blacknut also offers SDK and API access for companies that want deeper integration of its catalogue and technology.

That gives partners different ways to add Blacknut to services they already operate. A TV platform, telecom operator or media company can add cloud gaming without having to create its own game catalogue and streaming technology from scratch.

Avaro explained the reasoning behind that approach in an interview with 80 Level earlier this year. He said Blacknut’s direct consumer service remains important for its brand and understanding how people use the platform. Avaro said those partnerships can expand Blacknut’s reach and visibility.

Those partners already have customer relationships and access to households. Avaro said integrating Blacknut into services and devices people already use can also reduce customer acquisition costs.

Blacknut Is Already Inside TV and Telecom Services

Recent launches also make clear that these integrations don’t all work the same way.

In Mexico, Totalplay added Blacknut to its telecom offering with dedicated infrastructure inside the operator’s environment. Blacknut was already available directly to consumers in Mexico, so the partnership added another route into the service rather than replacing the existing one.

VIZIO OS and Whale TV take a different approach. Blacknut is available directly through those television operating systems on supported TVs, placing its cloud gaming catalogue inside devices people already use for streaming and other entertainment.

Blacknut isn’t using one technical or commercial setup everywhere. Each deployment gets Blacknut into a platform or service that already reaches customers.

We also covered Blacknut’s recent expansion to TiVo devices and the Manhattan Aero 4K streamer. Those launches add more examples of cloud gaming appearing alongside existing TV entertainment rather than only through a dedicated gaming device.

Blacknut’s B2B Strategy Goes Back Years

Blacknut and Radian Arc were already offering cloud gaming integration for OTT and VOD platforms in 2023. That work included app and SDK options, making the current push a continuation rather than a new direction.

Avaro made the same distinction more directly this year. In his 80 Level interview, he described Blacknut as using a hybrid distribution strategy. Its consumer subscription continues alongside partnerships with ISPs, Smart TV manufacturers, telecom operators and OTT platforms.

That history puts Blacknut’s IBC 2026 pitch in context. The company isn’t suddenly shifting away from its consumer service. It is putting cloud gaming inside more of the services and devices people already use for entertainment.

The strategy has been there for years. What has changed in 2026 is how often Blacknut is now appearing inside actual TV and operator services.
